Michael Tajima is an associate attorney at Barth Calderon LLP, with a practice that concentrates on estate planning and domestic and foreign asset protection. Michael also has extensive tax controversy and compliance experience with the IRS and various state agencies.
Michael understands that proper estate planning and asset protection are a necessity for everyone, in all stages of their life, from the young professional to the successful entrepreneur. What’s worrisome is that most people don’t realize that a single specious lawsuit can wipe out an entire lifetime of hard work, leaving nothing for their heirs. That’s why proper planning is essential and shouldn’t be put off until it’s too late. Michael’s goal is to help clients protect their assets, save on estate taxes, build wealth and keep their worries at bay.
Prior to establishing his estate planning practice, Michael specialized in tax controversy where he has helped many clients minimize their tax liabilities and bringing them back into compliance. Settling tax liabilities with the IRS for pennies on the dollar and combatting erroneous tax assessments. Michael also provided tax advisory services for a big accounting firm regarding corporate reorganizations, foreign transactions, and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
Mr. Tajima is a graduate of Loyola Law School and has received a Tax LLM from Boston University.
